Pro Tune Plus: Buying A New Set Of All-Season Tires

Pro Tune Plus

When water builds up between your tires and the roads in Bismarck your car is at risk of hydroplaning. A new set of all-season tires are designed to deliver good comfort and handling on the highway, as well as reliable traction in the rain. In the past, most all-season tires featured symmetrical tread patterns, however, there are many new all-season tires that are now featuring an asymmetrical tread pattern. An asymmetrical pattern may offer higher speed and load ratings for your car or truck on wet roads.

Each all-season tire is constructed with a series of internal steel belts, polyester cord and rubber compounds that are designed for traction and performance in wet or dry conditions. All-season tires are not the best option for tough winter conditions such as snow and ice. However, a new set of all-season tires offers drivers in Bismarck confident performance during nice and moderate weather conditions.

All-season tires offer deep grooves and blades to channel water away from the tire. Grooves widen to help displace water on the road as your tire wears. As tire tread blades become more shallow with wear they will open up to become wider grooves. A dryer tire provides more grip and minimizes the possibility of hydroplaning in the rain.

All-season tires offer a smooth, quiet ride by adding an extra layer of super-shock absorbent layer of rubber between the tread layer and steel belts. The extra rubber cushion insulates against road vibration and impacts.

Affording a new set of all-season tires has never been easier at Pro Tune Plus. Ask us about offsetting the cost of a set of tires with manufacturer rebates. Most name-brand tire manufacturers offer rebates on all-season or touring tires. This helps keep the cost of a new set of tires low. Give us a call today at 701-224-1638 and ask us about the cost of a set of tires with a manufacturer rebate. One of our tire specialists will be happy to help.

Top name brand tires offer more than just rebates. Brands such as Bridgestone, Goodyear and Michelin feature all-season tires with the highest UTQG (Uniform Tire Quality Grading) rating. The rating system was developed by the US Department of Transportation, which helps consumers compare and rate tires on tread wear, traction, and temperature. The government mandates that tires have at least a 100 UTQG wear rating. Most sets of new all-season tires have a UTQG rating of 400, meaning that they will last four times longer than the government mandate.

However, please don't link tread wear grades with your projected tire mileage. Each new all-season tire also comes with a traction and temperature rating that represents the level of grip a tire has under normal road conditions. New tires have a grade of "A" for superior, "B" for good and "C" for average. Most name-brand all-season tires have a grade of "A".

What Our Customers Are Saying

I needed a comprehensive pre-purchase inspection to buy a car sight unseen from the next state over. I am so grateful I found Pat and Joe. Not only did they do a great job trouble-shooting with honesty and integrity, they were really fun to work with! They went over and beyond to give me the best info possible to make a decision, then fixed the issues for a fair price. They were willing to keep the car for me an extra week, discussed all the details as we went along, and provided a peace of mind I couldn't have purchased the car without. HIGHLY recommend this outfit! Thanks, guys!

What a great experience we had with Pro Tune Plus! We were stranded nearby as we were driving through after a badlands camping trip when we noticed that 3 of 6 tire studs had sheared off, and only 1 of 3 remaining lug nuts were tight. We had AAA tow our truck to Pro Tune Plus on a Saturday afternoon, and I called Monday morning when they opened after the weekend and they said they would get it done that day, an easy inexpensive fix, and that was exactly how it turned out! We had since taken a cab to rent a car at the airport and drove home, and they took it the extra mile and parked our truck at the airport for us so we could drop off the rental car that night and not have to take a cab to pick up the truck at the shop, thank you!!

I called Pro Tune Plus just for some information regarding automotive wiring. The fellow I talked to was extremely helpful and pleasant, and spent a few minutes with me on the phone without seeming rushed even without any indication from me that I would be bringing my project in for them to work on. I am impressed that he genuinely was interested in sharing his knowledge with me and that he answered my questions to my satisfaction. Although I don't currently have need of the service Pro Tune Plus provides, the interaction I had with them ensures that the next time I do need it, they will be the call I make. Thank You for the gracious attitude, and information!

We were travelling across the country and had an engine light come on and still 2 states to go through. They took care of us and got us on the toad again. Thanks Pat and Joe.

I highly recommend Pro Tune Plus based on my experience. I was driving from Virginia to Saskatchewan in January and my AWD system in my volvo xc 70 failed. I was stuck in a strange town and unsure of where to take my car. Both AAA and the staff at the Marriott Residence Inn seemed to think Pro Tune Plus would be decent. I was more than impressed with their service and the options offered in getting me back on the road. They did a great job; show impeccable attention to detail; and understood my need to get my car fixed and back to grad school quickly and cheaply. Fixing a Volvo in an area where there aren't alot of Volvos was scary for me but it worked out great!
